Is good enough..enough?

In a recent article by Wired (sorry, not online), they discuss how new technology has been succeeding by keeping things simpler, for example - Skype, Hulu, Kindle, etc. These products are not the top of the line and do not offers bells and whistles but somehow, they are leading the pack in their respective categories. The same applies to your online presence.

Setting up your campaign website - Basics Part 1

It's simply not enough in today's world for a campaign to throw together some HTML files or use starter templates as their main campaign website and then say the work is over. With the growing rate of technology and with the way constituents are now accessing, analyzing, and spreading information, it's imperative to connect your offline actions to your online actions. Here's where many go wrong.

Purchase website package online and more..

Hope you've been taking a good look at the website because it's been undergoing slight changes the last few days. First, the new Imperium Media logo has been added to the top left, a new color scheme was added, and of course, the wonderful slogan right up top. But wait, there's more!

You can now visit this website and purchase a customized website package. I'll bring the store live once it is complete but you will be able to choose many options in configuring your website. Add it to your shopping cart, purchase through Google Checkout, and hold on tight as your online presence is built.

How to use Google Voice on the iPhone

What is Google Voice? It is a way for a user to hand out one single phone number to contacts and when someone dials that phone number, it rings all of that user's phones at once. Google Voice also offers voicemail transcription, voicemails sent to email addresses, blocking, screening, SMS, international calling, and many more fun goodies. Since it is VoIP, it'd be a great addition to the iPhone, which is why Google submitted an application to the App Store, only to have it rejected. So now what?

Release update

For someone who has spent a lot of time messing around with Drupal, I'm extremely surprised that I still have not built a campaign website based on that CMS. This is why I just finished building a demo campaign website running on Drupal. Keep reading to view the link.

Upcoming Release?

For the last couple of years, I have been looking for a solution to a campaign's online needs. It's difficult to find some kind of software or CMS that provides a campaign with an easy to use platform that integrates with all of the other services that they use - without staff having to know crazy technical information. Maybe I can provide that solution.

Review: VinnyIgnizio.com

I'll admit it - I'm crazy about lawn signs and campaign websites. Having seen lately many more lawn signs for my city councilman, Councilman Vinny Ignizio (yes, I'm on the South Shore), I couldn't help but race over to my computer and log on to his website. Below is my review of VinnyIgnizio.com.

Twitter & Invoices

So I just realized for my twitter statuses to update on this website, I need to run cron (duh) so I'm installing that now. But I like that block, don't you??

New direction

It's been awhile since I have come here and updated this website. I like to think I've been keeping busy. After the election, I joined Congressman McMahon in Washington D.C. and it was an experience I'll never forget. He and his staff truly care about the community and are always listening to constituent concerns. I can't remember the last weekend the Congressman spent in D.C. as he travels back to Staten Island as much as possible to best represent his district. Thank you, Congressman.

John W. Lavelle

Last week, I was back on the Island for Thanksgiving. That Saturday, I attended a street naming ceremony for John Lavelle. I wasn't able to find anything in the paper about this event but it really was something special. My feelings towards I cannot put into words but I just had to post about something about it. Thank you to all those who showed up and thank you to Michael McMahon for getting this done.
