Election Night Totals - North Shore City Council Primary

There is a Democratic primary election on September 15th on Staten Island for the North Shore City Council seat. Incumbent Councilman Ken Mitchell will be facing off Debi Rose for the votes of North Shore constituents. Once again, I ran the numbers through vPercent and here are the expected totals for election night.

It's important to keep in mind that vPercent is most accurate when applied to Island-wide Democrat vs Republican races. In primaries that are for only one area of the Island, it becomes much more skewed, going above a margin or error of +/- 3, making it somewhat inaccurate. But let's still take a look and we'll reanalyze after election day.

After running the data through vPercent, Mitchell received 72% of the vote. If we use the standard Island-wide MoE, he would then fall between 69%-75%. I will later write a post as to what vPercent is exactly and what it measures.
